Music by Ade Vincent
Lior & Tinalley String Quartet
In 2015-16 Ade co-wrote a suite of two works with Lior for string quartet and voice called Hours I Have Never Known. The piece was commissioned by the Melbourne Recital Centre and performed by Lior and Tinalley String Quartet at the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne Recital Centre in May 2016.
The performance of the first work of the suite - Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night - was awarded the MRC's 2016 Contemporary Masters Award for the finest performances of repertoire from the 20th and 21st centuries. The Contemporary Masters Performance Award is open to all artists (individuals and ensembles) who perform at Melbourne Recital Centre throughout the year.
The Melbourne concert was recorded and will soon be broadcast on ABC - more details when they are announced. To stay updated, follow Ade on Twitter.
